Anna Carmela is a genre-bending singer, bassist, songwriter, producer and performer. She grew up in Orange County, California and slowly made her way north to Los Angeles, the place she deems her musical home. Some of her favorite performances have taken place on iconic Los Angeles stages, namely Troubadour, Hotel Café, The Orpheum Theatre, Moroccan Lounge, The Viper Room, Whisky-A-Go-Go, and Peppermint Club. She has also performed at dozens of venues and college campuses across the country, including Stage AE (Pittsburgh), The Rex Theater (New York City), Nile Theater (Mesa), Mr. Smalls Theater (Pittsburgh), Hi-Dive (Denver), Kansas State University, Utah State University, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and University of California Irvine.
Galore Magazine hails Carmela as “resident glam-girl-rocker, singer, bass player, and all around badass.” Influenced by rock, blues, funk, and folk, Carmela creates haunting music featuring her signature sultry, soulful voice and vintage-inspired instrumentation. LadyGUNN says of Carmela: “Chances are you havenʼt heard this much personality in a vocal in a long time.”
Due to the worldwide pandemic, the album release show at Hotel Café is currently being postponed.
